MIDAS Vision Systems receives multiple system order from a leading FPC manufacturer in Korea

MIDAS receives an Order for Multiple AOI Systems from a Flexible Printed Circuit Board, FPC, Manufacturer in Korea

Foxboro, Mass- June 30, 2004 - MIDAS Vision Systems Inc., a leading developer of process modules for the advanced substrates and microelectronics packaging industries, announced that it has received an order for multiple automated optical inspection (AOI) systems from a leading FPC manufacturer in Korea.

The first multiple system order from this customer, a large manufacturer of High Density Interconnect, HDI, flexible circuits for the Telecommunications and Flat Panel industry, signals the beginning of a long term commitment to use MIDAS AOI systems throughout the production facilities of this manufacturer. The system order is for  the FLX-1410 family of systems to improve their quality of inspection, to guarantee the shipment of 100% good circuits to its customers and to evaluate their production process with the SPC data from the inspection system.

"This successful  result of a long qualification process demonstrates the trust that our customers have in MIDAS as a company and in the robustness of our inspection technology not only to find standard defects but defects that are hard to find and potentially can be very damaging. We are now seeing an increase in exciting opportunities for MIDAS, especially in the growing flex circuit market," said Ton Schless, CEO of MIDAS Vision Systems Inc.
