MIDAS Vision Systems Completes Installation in Korea.

MIDAS Installs a FLX-1410 AOI System and a VRS-1400 Verification System at a key FPC Manufacturer in Korea.

Foxboro, Mass- February 28, 2005- MIDAS Vision Systems Inc., a leading developer of process modules for the advanced substrates and microelectronics packaging industries, announced the installation of an automated optical inspection (AOI) system with a defect verification system as the first at a key FPC manufacturer in Korea.

The customer is using the system for inspecting FPC after etch. Capable of handling rolls of FPC up to 200 meters and 600mm wide the FLX-1410  processes with precision and speed, the system reduces labor cost and guarantees an increased quality in the circuits that come of the production line. The system is optimized for maximum throughput while inspecting. The system keeps track of all sheets by storing the inspection data on a server from where the data is used for verification, repair, sorting and selective electrical testing reducing production cost at several steps in the production process.
