SIBCO acquires the MIDAS Vision Systems Technology.The MIDAS Vision Systems technology has was acquired by SIBCO. The sale of the technology to SIBCO allows for continued development of the MIDAS Vision Systems technology for Multi Layer Co-fired Ceramic manufacturing as well as a strong service and support to the existing MIDAS customers.Mansfield, Mass- July 15, 2007 - MIDAS Vision Systems Inc., a leading developer of process modules for the advanced substrates and microelectronics packaging industries, announced that it has sold its technology and assets to SIBCO. "With its operating activities in Asia SIBCO is better posed to serve the mostly Asian customers of MIDAS AOI systems" says Ton Schless CEO of SIBCO. The sales and marketing, engineering and manufacturing teams of MIDAS Vision Systems Inc. have joined SIBCO and together we will be able to develop a new generation of AOI systems to meet the next generation of MLCC designs. SIBCO is making a low term commitment to continue to build its expertise and influence in HTCC/LTCC components, substrates and MCM-C module manufacturing. SIBCO will continue to use the name MIDAS, MIDAS Vision and MIDAS Vision Systems for its AOI products.
